i (Shirin) was denied entry into the United States. i was not able to be physically present at Counterpulse, and extended my presence only digitally. This incident did not stop us from continuing the show; “we collectively refuse to submit to the forces of fear, oppression, and despair, and will instead continue in the process of radically making and presenting this work.” ——
